Accounts
A Salt Account is a policy-controlled signing wallet owned by an Organisation.
Keyshard backup and recovery
Salt automatically backs up every MPC keyshard generated during account creation. The process is transparent to users and removes the need to manually manage backups of Salt keyshards. Each encrypted keyshard is securely associated with the user's Externally Owned Account (EOA), so it can be recovered automatically at any time.
Policies
Policies provide automated granular control over moving assets. They guard Accounts and are a vital risk management tool for Organisations. At their core, Policies are the rules that each transaction needs to adhere to, in order to be signed and broadcast to the chain.
Organisations
An Organisation on Salt holds Accounts and Policies that are managed by Owners, and includes other collaborators and Robo Guardians.
Robo Guardians
Robo Guardians are automated co-signers for Salt Accounts.
Access Levels
Organisation Owners set each member of an Organisation up as an Owner, Member, Agent. Access levels control what viewing and editing permissions each participant has on Salt.
